The water conservation network addresses a broad range of issues concerning water resources and the critical role of landscape architecture in water-resource planning, design, and watershed management. The network will examine historic and contemporary hydrological processes throughout the country, investigate relationships between built and natural environments, and discuss water-resource-management problems and potential solutions associated with conventional land-use development practices on projects of all types and scale. Focus will be given to the identification and dissemination of information related to current innovations in stormwater, water-quality, water-conservation, landscape, and habitat-restoration-management techniques in urban, suburban, and rural environments.
