The parks and recreation group offers expert planning and design assistance to schools of landscape architecture, professional societies, and public and private organizations that deal with park and recreation issues. Through newsletters and briefings, this group provides landscape architects with current information on important design and planning issues that are influencing today’s parks and recreation facilities. This group also intends to develop a liaison with the National Recreation and Parks Association for development of joint seminars and workshops and to cooperate in publishing information pertinent to the field of landscape architecture and recreation.
