Welcome to The ASLA Historic Preservation Professional Practice Network (HP-PPN). This webpage is hosted by The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). HP-PPN serves as the forum for landscape architects and our allied professionals to exchange knowledge and information in historic landscape preservation.

Serving two primary functions, HP-PPN works to disseminate information to landscape architects working in historic preservation and to enhance communication among allied professionals and others interested in historic preservation. Historic landscape preservation studies and preservation issues are discussed in our newsletters, on the listserv and during education sessions held each year in conjunction with the ASLA Annual Meeting. This webpage also contains a calendar of upcoming preservation events and announcements.

Each year the HP-PPN awards a silver tray to a visionary mentor in the field of landscape preservation. In addition to preservation education sessions, the group organizes a Mobile Workshop during the annual meeting, focusing on historic sites and preservation issues in the host city and region, and holds an evening cocktail reception where members can meet. The group shares membership rosters with allied organizations providing members with maximum levels of information.

Please continue inside our webpage for more information on the history of the ASLA Historic Preservation Professional Practice Network, past recipients of the annual Unsung Hero Silver Tray Award of Recognition, Current and Past Executive Committee members, and be sure not to miss the section on the Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS).
