ASLA National Professional Development Programs

ASLA provides professional development opportunities for landscape architects using online learning formats. That means that no matter where you are, day or night if you have access to the internet, you can remain current on the latest developments in landscape architecture. Landscape architects can participate in live Online Desktop seminars, view archived versions of the live seminars or read Landscape Architecture Technical Information Series (LATIS) publications and complete a self-study exam to earn professional develop hours. Online Desktop seminars are worth 1.5 Professional Development Hours and LATIS publications are worth 5 PDHs. Members can access LATIS through the Professional Practice Library of ASLA Online (www.asla.org - make sure to log in as a member) and Desktop seminars at: . It is easy to register for a Desktop Seminar. Just print out the registration form and mail or fax your completed form back to ASLA national. Currently, there are five LATIS publications on line and 40 Desktop seminars. Topics include Security Design, Context Sensitive Solutions, Stream Restoration and Therapeutic Gardens.
