Memorial announcement
CHESTER "CHET" HALKA SR., 80, died Saturday, Sept. 11
Chet’s contributed enormously to landscape architecture through his supplying landscape architects with the finest of trees for the past 50 years. Services will be held on Wednesday. A link to the obituary is:

He was given a lifetime achievement award from the New Jersey Nursery and Landscape Association, and a lifetime achievement award from the Massachusetts Horticultural Society. His trees are planted at national historical monuments all over the country including the White House and the Statue of Liberty.
