The Nebraska Section partnered with the City of Lincoln Watershed Department and Cooperative Extension to present a daylong workshop on rain garden design, implementation and maintenance. Over 50 LA's Engineers, Green Industry professionals and home-owners attended. Rusty Schmidt, Steve Rodie and Tom Franti presented.

A tour of the Joint Antelope Valley Authority project in Lincoln was led by Mary Anne Wells of Olsson Environmental and Lynn Johnson Of Lincoln Parks and Recreation. New parks and recreational facilities are included in the 120 million dollar flood, traffic and economic development project.

The tour saw recent plantings along the new bike path connection. Upon the JAVA project's completion, new trails will reduce bike and pedestrian conflicts for commuting students and faculty at UNL.
